How We Got Started

CitiChurch Mansfield was birthed in March 2003 when we began meeting in the ballroom of Park Place Hotel on Park Avenue West. Our initial experience of set-up, preparation, planning and transition holds many fond memories for all of us. Our past blessings are a testimony to God’s faithfulness! We left the ballroom of Park Place Hotel and ventured onward to the gymnasium at Mansfield Christian School. This provided the added challenges with sound etc but we were able to meet new friends at MCS as well as build some stability as a congregation. There was extraordinary support, courage and faith exhibited by the family of CitiChurch as they remained faithful to God’s dream and plan for our assembly! 

God blessed us with our first church home in the spring of 2005. The downtown location enjoyed many updates, renovations and repairs but rapidly became a symbol of God’s kindness to us! We celebrated lots of space and adequate room for many ministries and outreach opportunities. Thank you Jesus for the impact we were able to make downtown! 

CitiChurch noticed an incredible need downtown and wanted to help! Our ministry quickly expanded beyond expected service schedules to daily outreach. This ministry expansion began to include feeding, help with clothes, school supplies giveaways, winter coats for those in need as well as special Christmases for many families. We are overwhelmed with joy at the opportunity we have had to feed hundreds of people as well as to provide aid and help when needed. We continue to share the love of God and the gospel to this community and region through every avenue possible. As additional ministries began to be birthed, the opportunity presented itself to purchase the building beside our 23 North Main Street property. This space quickly became a home for our feeding ministry, food pantry and Outreach.

CitiChurch then expanded to lease 2 areas of the building connected to our property. The added room served as a home for Singles meetings, Freedom from Addiction ministries, Thanksgiving dinners, CitiChurch banquets as well as the Sons of God ministry. We are excited to still have a wonderful church utilizing our property downtown that provides outreach, weekly services, and hope to our downtown area. 

It was definitely a miracle when God opened the doors for us to purchase our current facility. We now have access to a building on 26 acres, softball fields, pavillions and play area and a 35,000 sq. ft. facility. Please be our guest at our new home at 541 State Route 97, West Bellville, Ohio 44813.
